They’ll help you through the whole process, from your free quote to our final phone call to guarantee that you’re satisfied with your new granite countertops.Here’s a step by step description of what your project will entail.
KITCHEN AND BATH BY DESIGN PROCESS
Step 1: Estimate
Schedule an appointment with a member of our sales team.We will show you samples of stone colors and finishes available to get an idea of the look you are after. Next we will go over the layout. You will be shown edges to select from. In the sink area we will discuss the difference between undermount sink prep and drop in sinks. Step 2: Signing the contract
Once you feel comfortable and ready to commit to the project, we will require a deposit at the time of signing the contract.
Step 3: Choosing Your Material
We will send you to one of our distributors to choose the material for your granite countertops. Once you have chosen your material, your name and Kitchen & Bath by Design name will be put on a hold ticket; you can rest assure that you will receive the exact granite selection you have made and that the delivery of your granite will be made to our shop for fabrication in a timely manner.
Step 4: Templates
Within 48 hours of signing your contract with us, we will call you to schedule your template date. On this day we will require that the countertops are clear of any objects.The template takes anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of your project. You must also provided any sinks, faucets and cooktops or anything that might require a hole/cutout. Our measure technician will bring your sinks to our shop to be able to get the exact cutout for your sink.
We will also get the details and specifications concerning your granite countertops when we do your template, which are:
Overhangs
Radius
Personal Preferences
Possible seam placement will be discussed (But final placement of seams will be determined by the bridge saw operator)
Sink, Faucet, and Stove cutouts will also be discussed
Step 5: Fabrication
We will use your template to set it on top of your granite slab, to then cut the pieces out. Once we cut your pieces they are given over to one of our fabricators. The fabricator shapes your edge design. . After your Granite pieces have been fabricated they will move on to the next stage (the polisher). He will then polish the edge design of your stone and any other details that might need to be taken care of. His role is to give your Stone that beautiful smooth and silky finish. After the polishing is finished your Granite pieces will move on to the final stage “Inspection”. Our Quality Control team will thoroughly go over your Granite pieces to make sure they are free of any flaws.
Step 6: Installation
Your salesperson will call with the installation date and time window.If we are removing the existing counter have it cleared entirely. Be sure that any other obstacles are removed from the work area. Also remove anything you may have in your sink base cabinet. Our installers will install your granite in clean and timely manner.
